Global Online Program Coordinator

UIW Mission


Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President for International Affairs, the Global Online Coordinator will serve as a liaison in the launching of the Global Online Academic Program and provide program oversight post-launch to ensure promotion of the University of the Incarnate Word's (UIW's) commitment to educational excellence in a context of faith in Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word of God.

The Global Online Program Coordinator will serve as leader to a new online program in Spanish aimed at establishing, recruiting, and administering dynamic online initiatives.
Program Coordinator must quickly assess and understand established program infrastructure to identify business priorities; assist in development and communication of implementation plan; prioritize activities appropriately; execute plan and post-launch activities; and successfully deliver commitments on schedule.

Collaboration with key internal stakeholders as well as establishing new relations with external stakeholders will be critical to program success, supporting UIW's mission to educate men and women who will become concerned and enlightened citizens within the global community.

Position will provide post-launch program leadership to students and staff to ensure quality and consistent delivery of program services. To ensure appropriate advancement of UIW's international relations, constant communication with the UIW Mexico campuses will be required.

Ability to use understanding of macro view of the global academic field to implement micro activities necessary to run the day-to-day operations and achieve program goals.

Ability to frequently travel, both domestically and internationally, to include San Antonio area, Texas, Latin America, and key global venues holding recruiting events.


Required Education
Masters Degree; however, a Bachelors Degree with 2 additional years of significant experience in global program/project management will be considered in lieu of Masters Degree.


Required Work Experience
Two years of experience in global program management/project management, preferably while living and/or working internationally.

Experience in guiding and/or implementing organizational change in response to evolving environments.

Experience in using technology and online learning systems; curriculum overview and oversight; and academic integrity.

Experience developing and working with multiple academic networks, public officials, academics, and others who deal with global academic initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications
Five years of global program management/ project management experience.

Recent progressive experience providing leadership of online programs and instructional design.

Experience successfully managing and executing large, global projects from start to finish.

Experience maintaining online education documentation for external regulating agency reporting.

Experience communicating and work effectively with multi-cultural populations that support diversity, cultural understanding and inclusion.

Experience organizing, planning and marketing events that support recruitment.

Experience creating strategic communication strategies utilizing current and new media.

Proven success in establishing partnerships with academic and private institutions.

Successful record of developing and sustaining program initiatives.

Familiarity with regional and national education in Mexico and the U.S.

Strong data management skills and experience with study abroad application and database systems.

Experience working with a creative team and managing deliverables including curriculum development, communicating in a global context, etc.

Experience gathering and analyzing data and delivering continuous business improvements.


Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Valid drivers license.

Insurable under UIWs Insurance.

Valid Passport for International travel.


Work Hours
Typical of a start-up program.

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds of program materials.
