Continuing Instructor of Psychology (Non-Tenure Track)Department: Biological & Behavioral Sciences Location: St. Louis, MO The Department of Biological and Behavioral Sciences at Fontbonne University invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track, Continuing Instructor of Psychology to begin August, 2022. This position will primarily support our growing B.S. in Psychology program, but the successful candidate will also teach courses to a broad range of students in fields ranging from education, dietetics, and the humanities. The Department of Biological & Behavioral Sciences at Fontbonne University is home to a dynamic faculty who are committed to program innovation and undergraduate research. Within a small liberal arts college environment, faculty support undergraduates in active research programs, with the goal of every student graduating with a degree in Psychology either completing a service-learning project or research leading to a co-authored publication upon graduation. In alignment with Fontbonne University's mission, the department is also committed to advancing the work of students from under-represented groups in the sciences and science-related professions. The successful candidate for the non-tenure track, continuing instructor position will join the well-established Psychology program. The program has a two-pronged approach to its curriculum, with students focusing on either Service-Learning or student-led research. Responsibilities of this position include teaching four undergraduate courses per semester, preparing students for ongoing training or graduate programs in psychology or related fields, and supporting students in undergraduate research projects. Other responsibilities include academic advising, participation in departmental and university service, and professional development activities both within and outside the university. Required Qualifications PhD in Psychology or related discipline; candidates who are ABD will be considered, with required completion of PhD by August, 2022. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach undergraduate students. Area of specialization is open, but the successful candidate must provide evidence of expertise in quantitative methodology. Qualifications to teach courses in Statistics and Research Methods as well courses adjacent to the candidate's area of expertise as needed by the program.
