Job Description:


The Department of Political Science at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for online adjunct faculty positions in Public Policy/Public Administration.

Our immediate needs are in the following areas (3-credit, graduate-level courses):
  • Public Policy Process & Institutions
  • Public Administration Capstone / Final Project
  • The Public Administration Profession / Introduction to Public Administration

We also have needs in the following areas (3-credit, graduate-level courses):
  • Human Resources Management
  • Regional and Urban Planning
  • Urban Administration
  • Program Evaluation
  • Policy Analysis
  • Nonprofit Management



Requirements:


Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Policy, or Public Administration
  • Candidates with a Juris Doctor (JD) or a Master's Degree will be considered

Work Schedule
This is a part-time position, without benefits. Classes are typically scheduled from 6-8:50pm (Mountain Time), and the Blackboard instructional program and Zoom will be provided to facilitate synchronous course sessions.

The online courses are conducted in 7 or 8 week semesters with one class meeting per week, and class sizes vary from approximately 15-35 students/course.
