This is an adjunct faculty position in the undergraduate Biology Department to work in the online CompleteDegree@Simmons program in Public Health. The person in this role is responsible for developing an online version of course for BIOL-221: Microbiology. Working with support from our CompleteDegree partner 2U, the faculty will create the course and curriculum design in accordance with Simmons University Undergraduate Program standards. The faculty is responsible for the design of the course from beginning to end: defining learning objectives and outcomes; identifying all course materials (textbooks, articles etc.); defining student and instructor expectations; and creating assessments and evaluations. This course development is targeted to start in December 2021, with a goal of completing the course by April 15, 2022.

Further, the faculty in this role would also be teaching the completed BIOL-221 course online in the Public Health program, starting in May 2022, and possibly in future semester, pending enrollment needs.
