UC Santa Barbara's PaCE invites applications for a Continuing Educator I. Expected start date of appointment is January 2021

In this role, under the supervision of the Director of Academic Programs and in collaboration with the Program Manager assigned to this program, the incumbent will be responsible for developing, designing, implementing and evaluating the PaCE's Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program including ensuring and maintaining Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) accreditation, developing curriculum, recruiting, evaluating and renewing qualified instructors, securing their academic approval, meeting with instructors regarding program-related issues, advising students, and working with the marketing team to create promotional material.

The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree in Education from an accredited higher education institution, and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Early Childhood Special Education Program planning and curriculum development.

In addition, the candidate is expected to possess the following additional qualifications by the time of appointment:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic program assessment, development, implementation, management, training or instruction.
One year or more work experience in financial management of an academic program including the preparation of budgets and monitoring expenses incurred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in outreach to academic departments, professional associations, and/or corporations and in developing organizational collaborations.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills based on required writing sample and verbal communication during the interview.

Previous experience in Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) certification of educational programs at a higher education institution as well as in leading a sequence of ABA courses are highly desirable.

The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service as appropriate to the position.
